Princeton Headlight.

Only my personal opinion but having read of quite a few incidents of the cree headlights burning out or batteries exploding whilst charging etc. - then I know what I would rather have strapped to my head!:D

As with anything it is personal choice but I would rather pay for quality myself.

The batteries are only likely to explode by using the cheap batteries and charger that a lot of the Crees are sold with. Using decent quality batteries (e.g. Panasonic about £10 a pair) and a decent charger with a cut off feature (Nitecore i4 for about £16) and this shouldn't happen. I've had my 1600 lumens cree headlamp for about 3-4 years and not had any bother and I've just recently bought another cree (3000 lumens) for a measly £5 and can't fault them so far.

That's why I gave up fishing regular club comps as when pleasure fishing I can pick and choose when I go fishing rather than having to go because it's a club match.

We had no choice really. Travelled over 400 mile to South coast for Police comp. Did not know what weather was going to be like when we got there. Mind the beer was nice in the local Weatherspoons.
