Only took the spinning gear up this weekend and conditions meant it was a write off
ended up fishing over highwater early hours sat and sunday mornings with a bit of rag using flaper rigs and 2oz weights
Fished private beach sat early am, cresswell at the bottom of the steps sunday early am
ended up with 19 flounder and 5 eels over the two sessions
few of the usual postage stamps but majority of flounders were over size
eels were a canny size too
thought the first one was a strap conger was so big
suprising the fight a double shot of eels give you on a light spinning rod!
all fish caught 23/30 yards our bouncing the trace around behind the breakers
hopefully conditions will be better for lure fishing this weekend
