pro am rod

yes had a few, they have a long tip,very stiff butt and a good tip for bite detection ie setting tip over.think they were 13ft but not sure they realy are a beach rod.best used imo pendulum casting to wind them up not realy suited to pier fishing cliff tops etc.

probaly will also be very heavy by todays standards but they will still catch fish.
 
Which Pro-Am are you talking about? I've still got my original Zziplex Pendleteque Pro-Am Match bought in 1990. It is light as a feather, has superb bite detection and although the action feels soft compared to more modern rods it is capable of putting a lead out to over 200 yards fairly comfortably...
