All 3 north east teams are crap.. 
None of us have done anything really of late...
Its all good banter but we are all have good points and bad points.
Newcastle bad.... poor team to stay up next year, no major cups, always in paper for things.
Good....Have played in Europe loads, had 2 fa cup finals,Loyal fans, great stadium
Sundrland bad...Only in europe for friendly,yoyo few years, been in bottom for last few years
Good...Bent, great stadium, on the up in league, curent top dogs
Boro Bad....Shocking fans, yoyo abit, europe for freindlys only
Good... Carling cup
I am Newcastle and can see us being in bottom 5 with out a doubt next year but i will take it if it is 17th then you can build again. 41 points will do me next year.
I can see Sunderland being 9th or 10th next year
Boro mid table in Championship again.

boro european cup finalist a couple of seasons ago/ carling cup winners not bad for a small club. huegton should leave now while he has still got some credibility it wont be long before the toon will be shouting shearer shearer shearer
newcastle could,nt cope last time in premier league so how are they going to cope now with the likes of darren bent and just wait till his new partner arrives.
sorry but sunderland are now in a different league to the toon.

but still hold the record for being the team that has been relegated from the premiership the most times... and the ones with the lowest ever points at the end of a season in the premiership (breaking the previous record set by... errr... sunderland!)... and the highest number of defeats in a season in the premiership and the most goals season in the premiership
leagues apart clearly!
last year we all deserved to go down, there was only 2 points in it. 2 months ago you were pretty good canditates to swap places!
next year... well thats a whole different ball game!
roll on derby days!
In many respects, as was said elsewhere, spending a season winning nearly every game, is quite nice, even if it was in you're beloved fizzy pop league
you lot should try it sometime (winning all season long that is, being knocked back to the fizzy pop league is probably a racing cert, you've had so much practice at it!)

indeedy and always amusing to see where the bold statements come from. As you said, sunderland fans spend more time obsessing about Newcastle than they do their own club!

Contract run out and the new top is the best for a few years.
I still stick with...we will struggle but we will stay up....just.
Every year you stay in the prem the better you can build your team with the extra money, i have to say and i hate doing so i agree with not spendig a great deal....we need more and better players but not at the expense of a Portsmouth style of club.
