Need some advise if possible plz lads???? Thinking of buying
A fiberglass boat ????? But I noticed the hull paint was flaking ???? Could
I sand if possible or just scrape it bk to its solid then re-paint the hull
Also what paint would I need thanks in advance lads ;)

When you say "the paint is flaking" do you mean it's coming off to the extent that you can see the hull? If you can see the original hull it probably means the hull was not abraded sufficiently to allow the antifoul undercoat to key to the hull.
It sounds like you need to get back to the hull and abrade it properly or get back to the original undercoat before applying a decent antifoul paint. This is usually achieved with the use of an orbital sander or mucho elbow grease i.e welcome to the real world of boat ownership.
With regards to antifoul, there's plenty of brand names on the market and none of them are cheap. Not sure if the boat is a trailer boat but even so, the antifoul process will have to be repeated every year or two unless you opt for the even more expensive Coppercoat which should give you many years of protection with just an occasional jetwash to remove the very slight build up of slime.

Where about on the boat was the paint flaking? as if it is below were the water goes this is the anti foul area, If it is well above where the water goes then this boat has been painted and personally I wouldn't touch a fibreglass boat that has been painted and it hides many sins
Also to properly re-paint a boat with marine paint is very costly not any old paint will do. and you would probably have to remove most of the other stuff first then prime etc etc

Hope this helps a little

Like Sean, I’d be concerned about why the boat was painted in the first place, was it to cover up damage or a poor quality repair.

A boat only needs painting with antifoul if you are going to keep it on the water, so no need for a trailer boat to be antifouled. Some loss of antifoul is to be expected over time, if this is what is flaking then be careful removing it as it’s not nice stuff; wet the paint, wear a dust mask before sanding or scraping.
