got 3 bags of ragwom in a bucket filled with 3 inches of compost (growbag)............any good/ will it keep....? (posted it in tackle section too)

I took over the bottom drawer in the fridge where the salad stuff is normally kept & use that for storing my worms.
I have kept them for upto 2 weeks in there, the temperature is just right ;)

Just keep checking the worms, removing any dead ones in there cos they will put the other worms off.

call me lazy, but I keep all my worms in billy\'s.

everytime I go in and get some to go fishing they are always in peak condition!

keep mine in the shed in my box cold and dark with a small amount of compost ,no problems with keeping them up to 2 weeks in the winter months ,my pal keeps his in the fridge and finds they only last about a week, not sure about keeping them long term but id like to find out ie water sand filtration etc ? ;)

Tried both but as Bri says they do last a bit longer outside providing you keep a eye on them, keep a eye on the weather forecast in case the temp drops right down.Seems like most tackle shops are using peat now, they look fresher in peat but its messy.Bri kept mine in sea water before just keep changing the water never used a filter mind and they lasted about a week but may keep longer as they were fine when i took them out

Only joking jonny wet paper is good to keep your ragworm in but make sure you remove dead or damaged worms daily. The growbag you have will be full of toxic shit and will kill the worms if you want some sea peat give me a shout before you come down and i will keep you some , bring a bucket and i will fill it up for you

alan look for places where you get loads of sea weed all year round and have a dig all it is, is rotten seaweed. try around foxton beach
