Ragworm quality

Just wondering if any one has had poor quality ragwort lately I bought some on Tuesday ready for my session on Wednesday, when I opened it up on the beach I couldn't believe how poor it was I only had 4 whole worms and have never seen worms so small the rest were bits of worm I won't name the dealer as I will tell him in person when I go in next but I will try other shops after this, the lug from the same shop was spot on so is it just a bad time for rag

This has been posted loads of times mate, as the majority will prob
say, you should check your worm before you buy it.

As already stated get the shop to wrap the rag [or any other bait] in front of you on the counter before you hand your money over.

Never had a problem from this shop as it is normally good quality and gas a good reputation but I was gob Smacked when I opened this pack it would have gone back but I was on the beach then, normally I open it before I leave home to put in a bucket with the rest of bait

yes ive had that problem in the past and learnt my lesson always see wot u are buying first best ragworm ive had recently came from CODFATHER 145 freshly dug from a secret mark you would of thought they where on drugs the way they wriggled about they were nearly jumping i had a harder fight putting them on the hooks and the amount of blood coming out ov them i couldnt fail boys

get my rag from lewis tackle in wbay. cracking ragworm all worms wrapped and weighed in front of you. never had bad worm yet and the worm last for days if looked after correctly.

rag has been not quite right for last two weeks - last saturdays was spawny. but still caught loads of fish .

I agree with sea troot, I have never had bad worms from lewis in whitley bay both lug and rag top notch, they pull there trays in front of you and weigh them so you can see exactly what you are getting, they even put in a little extra as well if you are the last in the line and only small ones left

always will get fresh bait from there
