Fished the ratty this morn 7-30 till 1-30, getting small whities, flatties from the off, as soon as it hit low water it went quite, until my mate,s rod started bouncing like hell and he pulled in a big lobster, the fishing died right off until about a hour into the flood then the whities and flatties came back on, this time they were a little bit better stamp of fish, at about 1oclock the fishing just seemed to die right off, and it wasnte even high tide, we gave it another fishless half hour and called it a day, total fish caught between us, 21 whities,7 flatties, 1 lobster, so not a bad session at the end of the day.

We are out tomorrow. Going to take a second rod and see if there is anything in the Clyde that might be tempted by Mackerel strip on the bottom........... If we catch Mackerel first that is?

Put the 13th Oct in your diary for North Star and pray for no wind, so hopefully we get out for some good fishing!
