Was going to fish roker pier this morn, got there at 6:30 and reliesed we had
left headlights at home, so the ratty it was, was a bit slow for the first hour
but then the little stuff turned up and kept the rod tips rattling, about 9 ish
the bigger whities turned up and the next hour or so seen about 8 decent size
fish of about 38 to 40cm turn up, we wernt keeping them but the oldish chap
next to us took a few for tea, at 11:30ish it was as if someone had flicked a
switch and the bites just stopped, so packed up and headed home, baits used were rag, mussle, prawn, mack, squid, no codling but no blank either. Steve

than just sitting aroung waiting fo;)r ya tip to bounce

welldone m8 i know they arnt cod but them whities do keep you interested when there s nothing worse than been in the cold with no action steve

As you know Duncan, i love that place,
looking for an uptider rod, going to have a few trips out with Jim next month
i hope.

Steve that uptiding malarky isn't as easy as it looks, we found it hard to hook the fish that were biting! However we did learn as the day went on and it was good to try a different type of fishing. Hope you have some good days, missing it already!

aye at least u had something to keep yas busy, nothing worse then blanking... leaving the headlamps at home would be enough to put a damper on my session. thanks for report.
