Be better off posting on the whitby site mate for more info on Redcar. Plenty of marks, watch out on the scaurs, very easy to get cut off.

Most the beach will fish a decent or dying North west thro to N/E sea, areas from coatham hole to the east scaur offer some shelter on a really big sea.The stray fishes as soon as there is a bit of movement but can be unfishable with a lot of sea on also weed can be a problem.Avoid the scaurs unless you go on with someone who knows them, tho the bottom of the east scaur infront of the royal can be fished safely.Probably under fished these days but has shot some good fish out at times.There's plenty of cod close in for the boats so no reason they wont come in if conditions are right.
