Reel maintenance

alright lads just after a bit guidance on how to maintain my reels any help is appreciated, cheers!

if its a multiplier , wash under the tap every now and then , use a tooth brush to clean them awkward places , the spool bearings will need oil in them usually once a month should do , after the season clean and relube all the gears with the appropriate grease

Just look after it with care mate, like don't drop it and after a sesh give it a clean down with fresh water making sure you get into the inner frame areas where salt congregates. Then after a few months remove all the line and strip it down, this is easy and only involves loosening a few screws, you can now give it a thorough cleaning with soapy water, make sure you don't over tighten the screws when reassembling. Also when its apart you can hoy a drop of oil in each bearing, I only have to do this after a few months as cannot fish every day, if your fortunate enough to be able to have a sesh every day then you may want to do this more often.
