Reels

Hi guys

Im looking at buying a new multiplier but cant choose between a penn 525 mag, abu 6500ct mag elite and a Daiwa 7ht. I fish mainly clean ground and am looking for a good casting reel rather than winching power.

Any recommnedations / reviews / suggestions?

Well, dunno about any of them, but i\'ve an ABU 6500 C3 that i\'ve had for something like 9 years... i ditched the level wind mechanism soon after i got it and it\'s never gave me any problems, nice and smooth even after years of my mis-treatment of it...

I\'d go for a 6500 c3 ct mag-elite, i\'v got one and its exellent for casting.

if you want winching power plus a good casting reel go for a penn 525 mag

Clean ground - go for a mag elite or sports mag (which has better magnet control).

HOWEVER, if you would ever want a reel to do both go for a Penn 525 mag, my best all round reel.

The Mag Elite would be my choice...they`re an excellent casting reel,and can be adjusted in seconds to suit conditions.
I also have a couple of 7HT`s which are also excellent reels,and very user friendly
