Referendum - too close to call?

I thought the Tweed would be better... guarding the border..:D

missiles pointed North.. :o

Any thoughts on which way it will go mark ( the vote ) ?

I think the undecided are really just not telling the pollsters. I think 53% No, 47% yes or even as low as a 43% yes, with no 57%. I am convinced it will be a No.

PS Not the Tweed, it would screw up the Elite's salmon fishing! :)

One final point before I go and earn a crust is this - Politicians are notoriously out for themselves and their parties, therefore the Tories should be be rubbing their hands in glee, eargerly waiting for Scotland to vote yes. They would then unquestionably govern the rest of the UK for generations. The fact that they are not, tells you all you need to know about Scotland's contribution to the UK economy. Without oil, gas, fish stocks, whisky etc and a home for Trident the rest of UK would be infinitely poorer than they currently are. The politicians know this and that is why they want Scotland to stay inside the UK.

It is one thing for Scotland to prop up the UK economy, it is another thing completely to be accused by the uninitiated in the last few months, that we are some kind of subsidy junkies! :)

8.3% of UK population
32% of landmass
9.2% of GDP (with North Sea oil)
9.1% of UK tax revenue
9.3% of UK government spending

Scotland....

Is a northern territory of Britain
Where the queen goes on holiday
where we keep our nuclear weapons
where the British oil comes from....................:D

vote YES please..

If yes would Shetland isles and the revenue from oil revert back to Denmark ?
Would every scot have to apply for new passport
Would all titled scots lose their titles
Every Scot I have asked and I work in Aberdeen so it's quite a few said it's only AS wants a yes vote
Next up Kingdom of Northumbria for independence, then we can excile mike Ashley and pardew

Well if they did it would be Norway, not Denmark, but as the Shetland Isles joined Scotland in the 15th century, probably not!

My passport expired 3 months ago, I am waiting until Friday before renewing it!

Let's hope the Gentry lose their titles.

As and 40% plus!

Let's not forget that AS wanted a 2nd question on the referendum paper ie a choice betweem Independence and "Devo Max" Cameron said no. The reason AS wanted it was the yes vote at the time was stuck at around 30% and he didn't really believe he would win an Independence vote, so wanted a Devo Max as a 2nd choice. For exactly the same reason Cameron said no to Devo Max!

Be careful what you wish for David! :)

PS I am all for a Kingdom of Northumbria, or just come and join us.

Surly mark you quoted government in power, these can be voted out along with any other people coming to power voted in/out yous lot vote yes and there's no going back what a massive gamble.

I don't know about it being a massive gamble, but there is no going back certainly and I don't think enough Scots will have the balls to do it sadly.

Get rid of the tartan skirt/furry purse (AKA kilt and sporran) wearing Scots, then get rid of the sheep sha**ing Welsh and give N. Ireland back to the Republic.....cue the song "Go Your Own Way" by Fleetwood Mac :D:D:D

P.S. I'm only joking and not bothered what Scotland decide to do but good luck to them should they vote Yes

Salmond is probably showing all the impressionable children he has some how managed to get a vote the film and telling them its historically accurate :D
(someone has told Salmond its not real...havnt they!)
Either way the Scots will be fine, but again I feel they would be best sticking for now and going for further devolution, leave the independence for a while longer – its evitable after all, now is just not really the right time to be taking risks.

“taking risks” …starting to sound like a “no” campaigner here! – just my opinion on the matter but best of luck either way, long as I am still allowed up that’s fine with me
