Returning angler

Hi all, getting back into fishing after 10 yrs or so , been out 5 or 6 times over the last 2 weeks, st marys, blyth pier, off out boat fishing next week..... my question is this.... Ive spent a good couple hundred quid kitting myself out again, starting from fresh, which is fine, but the bait im buying from tackle shops, one on particular , is shocking, its either dead or falling to bits, im talking rag here by the way, this cannot be the norm surely?

Get yourself through to moonfleet angling mate. Their rag is the best I've found and you see exactly what your buying. Good lads and they give me loads of advice. It's the only tackle shop I use now.

As nooo fish says you can't go wrong with moon fleet you can even pick small or large worms and the advice they give, sometimes it's hard to get out of the shop

moon fleet excellent do the bait in front of you,so you can see what you get:D

BUT i would say, wherever you get your bait look at it before you leave shop, even if that means opening up the package,if you dont like dont buy:exclam: because once you have left the shop it is your bait not theirs

if you have a problem with the bait let us know,as we rarely have problem with any bait we sell,if we stated we had no bait then that would have been the case, bait is always packed in front of the customer and if there's a problem plenty of opportunity to refuse the bait, all customers are treated equal no matter what they purchase.

The only problem I find with moonfleet is I never have enough money when in there ... It's an aladins cave of fishing goodies.

100% agree there haha! i tend not to take much money when i go cause if i didnt i would spend a sodding fortune lol!
lewis's in whitley bay is good had some last week and still have the nip marks on me hands there that lively lol

Keep meaning to get into that moonfleet heard nothing but good stuff about it. I was telling my uncle about it the other day aswell hs gonna check it out also

I went into moonfleet for the first time the other day and got myself 3 bags of rag. At first I thought '****ing hell 9 quid for 3 bags of rag', but when I got in the car and had a look I realised why (I didn't watch him weighing it out as I was too busy looking at the terminal tackle). So far I've had 2 sessions out of it and I've still got another session sitting in the fridge, happy days, I shall be getting my bait there from now on.

Moonfleet is a cracking shop , had worm from there that has lasted nearly a week with little effort from me to look after it . Just pop in there for a chat , you be in there hours !
