Beauty of the winders is you dont get tangles when setting up and you can easily rinse your rigs in fesh water to make them last a bit longer. I tend to use a wallet and winder box too. Wallet for brand new rigs and winders for used ones. If youre double patting with 2 rods you might come away with 4 used rigs that woulnt survive a fortnight in bags. They will be fine on winders after a rinse n dry a couple of months later

I first bought some and thought wtf have i bought these for, i'll never use them. They take up loads more room in my box but now I love them as generally everytime i take a newly tied rig out of a packet i'm untying knots for ten minutes before getting the bloody thing on my line!!! After the initial untying of knots at home and the rig onto the winder they're so much easier to get onto the line when out fishing with cold hands, wind blasting in your face, rain ****ing down etc.
