I know its not fishing related but things like this has to be understood that even though the water looks slow moving it can still take you under and take your life rest in peace to the to young girls and thoughts are with their families.......anyone who goes fishing keep safe!!!
 
I was fishing there at low water yesterday.
Last week there was a few kids swimming in the same pool,but this was at low water when there,s very little flow and its a lot safer.
A sad loss off life.
RIP girls.
 
Very tragic news thoughts go out to the familys. Well done the brave lad who tried to go in after them. And the emergency services for they done.
 
The Wear has claimed quite a few lives in the past 2 years, there were 2 drownings up my way last year (far side of Durham) RIP girls and boys.
 
I can`t imagine what the parents are going through,you expect to lose a parent eventually but not a child ,so tragic.
 
Its very sad but unfortunately ppl go ahead a blitaintly disregard the signs stating not to swim in these areas. My heart go's out to the fammily and friends for there sad loss its a total waste of life of two young girls. Rip
 
2 young girls so tragicly lost our heart felt sympathy to both families I have wrote this with a tears in my eyes as I have a a daughter the same age and am so lucky I will see her today god bless them
