River Aln - Friday 27/04/07

Had a first chuck out since February. Fished the Aln about 2 1/2hrs over high water. Nice day but tide was a little slack with not much movement even when dropping down to 1oz lead. Bites started not long before I had to go when ebb picked up. Bait was ragworm, frozen crab and mackerel. Ended up with 2 fish, both took rag and mackerel.

Nice and relaxing up there

Fish returned safe and well.

Had two about the same size in our club comp this morning, from just in front of the old gardens, to runny and mackerel.

was going to be a bit practice session Foz but late shift and then lie in made it a bit of a rush before I had to pick the kids up. Thought the tide was a bit bigger. Still like it up there by myself for a bit of peace and quiet.
