Any 1 got any info on this mark ? Basically all I want to know is where's best to fish and how to reach it! I've a caravan at Boulmer and looking for a decent flatty mark for the summer...
I drive past Alnmouth golf club every day I'm up there and obviously I see the windy river, looks pretty much empty at low water...
Thanks in advance...STEVEO.

Cheers Duncan. Ill be popping in there this weekend anyhow. 1st trip up caravan I always pop in to buy some lucky lures for the boat !
Norma has been more than helpful in the past...great woman.

I Tony, I read about a couple of club matches not even weighing in. Ill probs give it another month or so. Just looking to find out where to fish. Might take Wor lass for a "romantic" mark spotting walk !!! Lol....
I treat her so well!!!

We fished it just to the side of the mouth of the river on the beach. Did fine time before last. (Less said about this time the better!). We caught a fair few and only 1 dog gobbled half a mackerel. :)

Park at the River Aln bridge and go through the white gate, you are now on Lover's walk so you could take SWMBO, as you walk along you will see a spit of land, you can walk around it, ish, you will find your way, it is obvious that it has potential to fish, back on the path and you will get into Alnmouth keep following the river past the swing park up to the little boat club and on to the estuary mouth, all fishable.
Turn left up the main street and you will find several very nice pubs, I use the Sun Inn, The Hope and Anchor opposite has just opened a real wood fired pizza oven type restaurant and they do a happy hour half price deal. Go to the top turn left and down the hill and you are back at your car, possibly with a lot of brownie points.:)

Cheers mate. Good info. The river Aln bridge the single lane bridge ? Where you give way to traffic??
And SWMBO ??? Lol.
As for the pubs, I'm sure I've been in them all....but that new stone oven pizza sounds right up my street !!!

Yes the single lane bridge, coming from Boulmer towards the Aln bridge park on the left just after the juction with Alnwood. As Tony said a bit quiet at the moment but the pizza is great.

Never mind the fishin, just go to The Hope & Anchor & get some chips, they're the best we've had between Alnmouth & Boroughbridge!
