could anyone tell me if u can fish the river coquet for flounder, and if so does anyone have a map of somewhere to fish there, any info appreciated.thanks.also what bait works well....

A few weeks ago, I trekked all the way to Warkworth Pier, only to be greeted by that nice friendly new(ish) sign that says: "Do Not Fish From The Pier Because After a Hundred Years of Trusting People to Make Adult Choices For Themselves, Alnwick Council Have Now Decided To Treat Everyone Like a Child." So I trudged back through the dunes past the estuary/ marina area and was sorely tempted to chuck a few worms around and search for flatties. It looks prime. Does anyone ever fish it? Never seen anyone there....

I would have just fished from it mate

I did fish the pier for a while. Some dude in a small boat came alongside and I fully expected a lecture about obeying the sign, but he actually chucked up a few codling that I presume he'd just netted. If you happen to be on NESA and read this, cheers mate, very welcome!! Said he was "sick to death if them"!
It was only when I walked back to the car that I saw the huge fish able areas of the marina/estuary and thought it looked fishy.
