Don't know what you mean by Yorkshire mate,but its the close season on all rivers in England until June the 16th unless as Jim says your going for trout or salmon(its not worth the risk,the fines huge).Your ok in Scotland,no close season there.

I take it this refers to the original Yorkshire Water closed season which ended about 20 years ago so its all the same now the 16th
