Hi all.

With bait left over from yesterday's open, I decided to fish this afternoon to get it used and have a few hours out the house.

I got to the mark I wanted to fish, Brighams ("Codgers Corner"), at around 1pm. The weather was much better then yesterday, light wind and sunshine, even though it was still quite chilly. Fished two rods, one with a clipped down pennel rig at distance for any codling around (in hope lol), and one with a two-hook flapper fished closer in scratching for any fish or smaller fish closer in.

Once both rods were out, sat back and relaxed in the nice sunshine. At around 1:45pm my good buddy waco arrived so had some good company. First fish of the day fell to the close in rod, the worlds smallest codling! (but saved a blank)

In the hours the past the action was slow, although bites were fairly frequent. waco had a few fish on the meantime, a sizeable whiting and a flounder. Next fish for me was again on the close in rod, this time a just undersized flounder.

As darkness fell and the tide began to ebb, it got rather cold, but persistent we fished on. The weed was an absolute nightmare, must have pulled in a garden of it :p . Second last chuck on the rod at distance resulted in a bigger codling than previous, but still undersized.

waco had a few more fish, an even smaller codling than my earlier one, as well as another whiting and an eel. All in all it was a decent afternoons fishing, given the fish weren't around in numerous numbers. Packed up at 7pm and headed home.

Tight lines.

Definitely one of my favourite marks too, mainly for it easy fishing, but especially because I caught my first ever decent Bass there too :)
