fished the tyne today south side opposite spiller's (pic 1) from 10 till 5 using ragworm tipped with mackerel on a 1up 1 down flapper with 1/0 hook's , my mate hooked a small codling 1st cast then another bigger one an hour later then a gap till he got a whiting . a cormorant was fishing too and showing us how it's done catching plenty (pic 2) for me it was yet another blankety blank Cheque book and pen :red: apart from 1 crab (pic 3) .. there was load's of lad's fishing the north side was it a match and was any body from this forum fishing if so did you have any luck ???? ... davey

Just got in from a session down the Ice-House - much the same, about 7 small codlings, a couple of them nearly size! Seemed happy to take worm, crab and mussel with no preference for either. Another poor day
