Headed down to the River Wansbeck at about 1 pm aiming to have a few hours flatty bashing. Set up on the south bank about 100 meters up river from the boat club and caught four descent flounder on a mix of rag, peeler crab and mackeral with peeler being the favoured bait. Stayed until about 5pm, not the most exciting session but a nice quiet spot on a nice day and plenty of flatties biting. All fished returned.

was there last week and had about 12 flatties in the space of half an hour just as the tide hit the little pier on its way up. im guessin its cos all of em squeeze through that little gap
