After reading the reports of the river fishing well over the last few weeks, I gave it a go for the first time in 15 years. Fished the tide in from 2-6pm opposite Pickies. Nice sheltered spot which was handy as I'd forgotten my waterproofs. First cast produced a small flattie, the second a big bounce back and a much better one came in - about 1lb and a half.
Thought it was going to be a cracking session but the bites just died off. Only got one more flattie in the next 3 hours.
Spoke to a few lads down there including CodSeeker and found out a few more marks/baits to try.
Fished with fresh peeler, ruunidown and rag. All fish to crab.
