Hi lads after a quick chat with John "orange shad" decided to see the interest in the fund raising day before going ahead. Looking at a date in July and open to all nesa boat members. Fishing anytime from 6am-6pm with heaviest fish winning. John has kindly said he would do a couple of trophies for hf winner and winning boat. There could be a few small prizes, as a few people have said they would kindly donate some tackle. So could end up with top three prizes. Photo proof of fish and weight in by 9pm that evening. Spoke to John and both agreed that £10 per head towards the RNLI was a reasonable donation and would open a fund account for donations to be paid into, and once all monies are in, present a cheque to the RNLI with total amount. Obviously these things could change a tad.

Cheers
Mark

Well done Mark/John, all sounds great and interesting, hope there's a lot of interest and present a nice cheque to the RNLI.

some harbours are tidal date needs to be picked round tides which ports are you thinking about:question::question:

well done on the idea though:)

Mark it's a great idea mate!!!
With careful planning it could be great event , could even have a double event due to tides etc, so one comp north of the Tyne say in middle of amble and tynemouth and similar thing at Sunderland if easier , photos of boats and catch needed to post on here, maybe weigh in held at rnli station??
If this is a goer then I can easily arrange weigh in or boat comp out of blyth and rnli station as once crew there an still call down to see lads

Come on folk help out and get the comp on the Calender
