Rock fishing south sheilds

has anyone caught any pollock or any other species float fishing from shields rocky coastline . ie the daddy, black path.etc. do jelly worms work or floated sand eel and wats the best time to fish cheers

Had wrasse on rag and crab floated and pollock on the lures, nowt exceptional but size fish..

A few years back (sick of the chavs on Shields pier) I walked the length of the cliffs from Frenchmans Bay to Marsden throwing a spinner along the way. Had a few small pollack, all about 10"-12" long, but they gave a good account of themselves on the light tackle. I've also float fished live shrimp in the same area, but Whitburn gives up more wrasse in my experience.
