rod choice

Has anyone got any feedback they can give me on the following rods I want to match one of them with an abu 7500 c3.
Abu conolon premier
Grays Orion
Diawa Sand Storm
Ron Thompson Axellerator
If there is another rod in this price range worth looking at ime open to any help given. cheers

I\'ve read reports that the ron thompson axellerator is a very good rod but also a stiff rod best suited tohauling cod, huss and conger out of snaggy swims. However it apparantly does that better than rods costing twice as much. There\'ll no doubt be a thousand people ready to tell me different though.............

Bought an orion a couple of weeks back. Great piece of kit. I\'ve got a mercury as well and there\'s not much difference between them apart from nearly 200 quid! It feels very strong and casts well. To be honest, If I\'d known what it was like beforehand, I wouldn\'t have bought the mercury, I would have bought another orion and saved the dosh

Make sure it\'s the 13ft 6in Axcellerator though.

A m8 was using the Abu Conolon the other night as my spare rod was being re-whipped. It looked like a canny piece of kit for a limited amount of money.

i would go along with ant on the 13 6\" rod ,also the abu conolon is a very good rod ,casts extremley well,tip recovers very fast ,ideal for rock and beach fishing ,and you can actually steer fish through kelp easily which a lot of the more expensive rods let you down on .superb finish and comes with a lovely reducer .for the money i cant fault it .i used my brothers last year as a second rod and was really impressed.
