Rod for 7 year old

Hi lads,
Could anyone recommend a rod for my grandson. Its his 7th birthday in December and he wants a rod but is to small for a beachcaster, he has tried without much joy and i'm worried with weights and hooks flying round.
I was thinking of a 10ft bass or flattie rod to get him used to casting, he is still using a fixed spool reel. Could anyone point me in the right direction please???
He will normally fish the Tyne, BA carpark, Walkway etc in the winter & SS pier in the summer (if the gates open )

My first ever rod was a 10ft Leeda beachcaster, so you could maybe look into trying to get something like that.

Thanks for the advice lads.

Looks like any of these would be suitable for him. I will take him out to get used to casting without the hooks 1st and will hopefully get plenty of catch reports with pics.
