hello i have 2 12ft beach caster rods but the tips are very sensitive they are fine for casting but if there is any wind or sea on i can not tell if i have a knock or not is there any way i can make them strong as they are perfectly good rods would be a shame to leave them gathering dust

Youll not make it any stiffer mate over time it will eventually go a little bit more tippier (softer)

Don't know if they're any good, but i've seen some new bite alarm which was tested in one of the mags, tsf i think where the light goes red i think when
you get a bite.Apparently it's green or whatever at other times, and will not accidentally turn red, even if the tips being blown about in a gale,so if it does
go red,it's definitely a bite...I might have the colours the wrong way round,
but you get the drift.

dont know if this helps but if i think i have a bite i stand by me rod and take a bit of the main line between my fingers so its tight and you get the vibration down the line and you can tell if its the wind or a bite:)
wind does knock the stiffest of rods but when you get knock you get a knock matey:)
hope this helps bud:)
