I wouln't bother trying to solder it mate, just go to a local tackle shop and you should get a new ring fitted for a tenner or less.

Deffo mate. I took an old moonraker to reelsport hebburn and got 2 eyes whipped on for a tenner a couple of years back. It's just a second rod I always take when fishing out of the area just as a back up, but it still is a good rod although a bit floppy like.

aye mate the dam rod is an old glass one i think stiff as a rake it is but me brother is 6'3 and 18.5 stone so that dosnt stop him belting a cast out:D:D
thanks for the info mate cheers
