Hi guys, I'm after your help, I am wanting to buy Ian Golds Supermatch DB1 for pier and beach fishing, I have been looking for reviews on Internet and can't find many!!
Do any of you have one and is it sturdy as the leg locks don't look like they can hold legs in place being that far up.
Is it really the best out there or are there cheaper alternatives out there that are just as good?
Cheers in advance for your comments and help.
Jason

I've got the Ian golds and an mti, the mti is solid and my choice for all venues except where a good hike is on the cards as its a tad heavy.

the salt rod rests are good have alook when you are out fishing and you will see a lot of the lads use them

Ian golds for me nice and light for when I'm fishing horthorn nice and light and and easy 2 move when yor fishin the winkle beds and the tide is on its way in so just got 2 keep of moving

Thanks guys, had a look at what you have all been suggesting still herding towards DB1 at the moment, but Parkers looking good also, I like the idea of the rig clips, but also on the Parkers you can get a bait tray by the looks of it, which sounds good as last time I was out night fishing I had a rouge wave come up an around me and swept most of my bait away.

dont use owt but ian golds and have done for yours there light and solid they are a bit expenxive but ya get what you pay for if you wanted to go for another stand i would say the mti my mate uses it and its solid

I ended up getting the SALT, and tried it out last night in that wind and hail, I love it did not move once my mates went over 3 times, I didn't move mark though so that might be a testing time lol.
Thanks for all you comments guys, every one must be getting new stands for the winter as I couldn't find a good one for a while.
