rods and reels

Need some advice, want a new rod and multiplier combo, got about 250 quid, mainly fish off piers or shore fishing, not sure on 14 or 16ft rod, prefer a flexible rod for greater casting. Any advice welcome...

I was looking at the 525 but some people saying they were crap lol, prob 14 would be ideal as do quite a bit shore fishing as well.

If ya had a go ov a 525 the chances are yi will be away to the shop buying ya sell 1 belta reels (don't knock it till ya try it)

My advice is a tried and tested combo but I'm afraid your budget will only stretch to 2nd hand its a Century Kompressor ss and either a penn mag 525 or a new type slosh 20

Try the zippys and century's don't go for the power houses that they have try sum if you can the tip tornadoes ar good and the zippys m4s ar up there as well

IMHO penn 525 will do anything you ask of it. I`ve got three 525s and one 515 . I cant say about the rod cos i cant decide meself
