Roker advice

Never fished roker much so planning fishing there tonight 6-11ish.. Can anyone advise of some of the marks along the pier, what the ground is like etc..

the barrier his just before the first set of steps sea side heavy ground, then all the way round the bebd sea side is rough close in clear further out round head is dead clear ground, bay side is all clean ground except opposite the barrier about 50 yards out some kelp and rock mate

Hi mate I will be fishing roker tonight from 6 also.
If you fish off the end it's clean ground (sand and shale )
If you fish between the two sets of steps either side it mixed to heavy ground.
At the moment there is plenty of whities to be had with the odd codling tossed in.
So if its whities your after go to the end of the pier (round head) there you should get plenty of sport and lose very little tackle.
More than likely see you there tonight.

i am also fishing from 6 onwards with codfather 145 but i will be the one pulling in the cod lambengland good luck where ever you fish m8

right at the bottom opposite start of pier as you drive along on the left hand side there is ussually a camper van and a few cars drive up the curb and onto the small carpark m8 if you pass us on pier there will be 4 of us together

only fished there ones or twise my self but i was told the second time i fished there i was told to fish the barria befor the first set of stairs and it prodused some good fishh hopr thuis helps

hi i was on there for a few hours from 6-9pm tonight as i arrived upto the golden ticket entrance on the roundhead i found loads of mackerel getting caught and bags full it was a daft 2 hour spell before darkness ..some youngings coming off with 50+ the mackerel were hungry even taking bottom baits what ever ya hoyed at them ..i stuck to big hooks and blanked
