You have to be careful if it's the beach in between the piers as there's no fishing between March and September/October - not 100% sure of dates. If it's to the left of the pier it's fine though. Nice swell on that side and could be ok tonight

i fish the roker beach,i fish the ramp near the yacht club where the BIG round stones are,had loads of whiting some decent sized ones too also had the odd few cod there the last 3 weeks,i fish it all night usualy from 8.30pm till 7.30am and no ones ever said anything.just watch your bait as theres no shortage of HUNGRY rats around m8!! good luck anyway

always fancied giving this spot a go, Does the car park next to it stay open all night or is it gated?

the carpark is gated and some times gets closed around 10pm,but its remained open the last few times ive been down,just park in the small layby things near the car park everyone else seems to!!! hope this helps and good luck if you decide to fish there
