Roker, empty but still dangerous!

Had a walk down for half an hour this afternoon (I'm on nights) just for a bit of fresh air, 8 people out fishing around low water so very quiet. I'm walking back past a group of 3 lads when one of them decides to cast in, more or less over his mates head with not much style in a kind of side sweep so I'm guessing not an acomplished angler, I stand still while he's chucking it out and suddenly I hear a nice crack off, his mate didn't take much notice but couldn't have missed him by much. The caster has a laugh at it and just carries on as normal. I couldn't see what his terminal rig end was like but the line looked really thin on the reel end so maybe he was straight through light line. I'd hate to be on there when the hoards arrive mid summer but then again that won't be a problem this year.

I think I will be sticking to lure fishing at St. Marys / Eyemouth this year! :D

Aye, I'm going up coldingham in a couple of weeks time then the week after hitting holy island, giving the top of the island a shot, never ever seen or heard of any info on this so will just see what happens ha
