Just been told that the peir closed to anglers ???? people climbing round to go on drum end and pulling down rails down to fish were it is not safe wot next shut full stop thanks to the people who can not read signs

Phoned council this afternoon regarding rumours that pier was closed.i was told that pier will remain open as they dont want to stop public useing it because of a few mindless idiots.was also informed that police and council officials will be more vigilant regarding people fishing on the end were its fenced for ongoing repairs.council has asked the police to prosecute anyone caught or filmed fishing from pier end.i just hope those responsible over the last week take notice n we can all enjoy the fishing.happy days

think its about time the police patrolled down on the sea front more , you see a patrol car now and again .
if some of these nackers did get fined they may possible think again ?.
or if found on the pier trespassing when its closed then a fine and gear confiscated bit harsh, but its obvious these people have no regard for closed gates and a saftey fence.

Youl always gey one bill.police wer along front this morn when i pulled into carpark at about 5-45 n they stopped for a natter while gettong gear out of car n the asked me politley if i was off up pier for some fishing n asked me to inform anyone fishing on end that they are been monitered n will be prosecuted.no ifs or buts.cant get any fairer than that i suppose n lets hope people stay this side of secirity fence as could work out expensive if they dont.
