well nothing like yesterday 1 and 2 wtys each cast and no cod need the sea to pick back up to bring them on about 20 wty all 1s and this ugly thing big

well done mate,ive had a few of those off roker,i think they get called bull head,supposed to sting you as they have sharp spikes.
 
Thats a Granny fish (bullhead or Sea scorpion, all roughly the same thing). There very bonny fish, though have a very big mouth that can engulf all but the biggest hooks :D.

Hears some info..... THEY DO NOT STING/POISON YOU! ;) They do have sharp spines that can cause injury, but even when pricked by one it wont do you no harm, obviously a wee bit blood loss, but nothing serious. :)
 
they dont harm ya as stated, ya can hold them in the palm of your hand and you will feel the fish buzzing/vibrating.

get loads of em in the pots in summer,

bullhead, pollymog.
or scorpion fish which ever ya wanna call em
