Fished the Barrier last night at low tide with a lad called Lee, had some ripping bites, one was a but lifter but couldn't cnnect with owt, the bites tailed off to nothting as the tide pushed in, a lad passed us on the way up to the roundhead telling us about a 10lb cod the night before in an impromtu comp, but it was actually only 7 and a half from what a lad Arron told me as he went over to the pier gate to watch the weigh in, anyhow, the lad that passed us to go to theroundhead said he was going to use the last of his fresh crab, he couldn't have been up there long first or second chuck when we saw a light going down the second set of steps, as it turns out he went down to get a fish of around 10lb according to a bloke coming off that we spoke to, so there are fish still about lads.

Seen the Fish in question was on last night for a few hours of the flood best catch ive seen this winter on the pier.never seen anything else pulled in apart from the odd whities.me one sized whitie & small pouting,bit disappointed as i was hoping to get a few coddies myself.first time out in a fortnight,one good thing never blanked,still great to be out.

hi mate yes it was me my first cast i got a small tommy about 1 lb and a half mist a slack liner second cast and third resulted in the 10lb 1 oz codling had a couple more just over the pound mark and then moved hunderd yards down from the barrier where a had a a couple more up to 4 lb
best nights fishing av had in a very long time 
thanks to the lad also that walked down the steps to get the fish sorry about the hook in yh hand GerryBerry

Haha ano mate well this one was deffo 10 lb cause it was weighed of 2 sets of scales
