Roker pier 29/6/13

[Nooo Fish]

Fished on roker pier with me mate Saturday night. Got set up past the 2nd steps for the first hour didn't get any bites apart from a youngun who kept casting over us. We moved on the end to get out the way after the 3rd time where we met a lad who won the crabstick tournament a few weeks back. I got loads of bites but only ended up with 2 little flatties. Then about midnight my mate got a nice surprise...... A dogfish. It's was a canny fish but after we put it back Wilf was sick cos we drove all the way to the mull to catch doggies last weekend. We wrapped in at about 2am cos we had not after the doggie.

BTW what's with the outfit? I know Roker can be a bit of a serious health hazard at this time of year but donning a full NBC suit is taking things a bit far surely?

It still gets nippy on the pier at 1-2 am mate. it's the best I've got to keep the wind off. And I'd rather have it and not need it.

lower tyne few weeks ago. the night was so warm my brother fell asleep lying down with jeans and a tshirt on not many days a year that's possible!
