fished last of flood first of ebb (1-30am - 4-30am)
fished the neck end expecting loads of whiting in the calm conditions and big tide, not a nibble not a sniff for some reason it was devoid of fish, i would have put my house on lots of whitings been there, weird.
ended the session with a few casts at the barrier hoping for an odd codling but the same result nowt.
my first blank in ages.

Micky...me, george, kenny, and steve, had fish to 4lbs at a mark south of roker last night.....and I don't know if anyone saw the fireworks going off at Seaham last night, but it looked like the place was under attack!!!

Fished roker last night from 6:45 til 10pm in my club match, got in the shelter bit at the end after a load of numpties left, 1 of them bit a whitings head off after he caught it! Anyway got 2 sizeable whities and me mate got 1 then it went very quiet until 9:45, they wouldnt take anything, tried the lot! the round end was busy with a few codling to 1 1/2 lb-2lb. There were also a couple of codling of 4lb, one on the end and one at the bottom of the steps at the end. Caught 5 whiting in total but 3 undersize went back alive. Quiet night fishing wise tho.
