roker pier help

im fishing roker with a pal on tuesday night for a new place to fish, seen as 112% of you from this forum fish there, can we have some info on it lol, whats the ground like, baits what might we catch... and the usual questions haha thanks gents.

whats the ground like about 80 yards out and whats it like fairly close in mate? and which side generally fishes better?

Sea side is fine from the curve in the pier up is clean past about 50 yds but before the curve is rocky bay side is mainly all sand except the odd patch of rough ground close in.

just got back from pier m8 do not fish the last set of the steps but on the sea side as about 50/60 yards out there must be a rope in the water full of sets of daylites snagged everytime fish either further up makki heaven or further down from the steps next to big white rocks had pollack coalies cod dabs scorpion fishall good sport and kept pollack 1 1/2lb

sounds like yas had a good sess m8 welldone. it has its days on roker it does throw a few descent fish out from end sept to march esp if theres movement on water.
