well lads fished roker pier today just to top freezer up with macky.

heard a rumour today off one of the lads on the pier.
he said the council was going to block the round end of the pier with gates because of all the rubbish which is left.

hope it is not true,but the round end of the pier was bad today rubbish all over,mainly empty food wrappers.

also heard one lad was hit with a 5oz sinker and the blood was all over.

anyone else heard of this rumour about the council.

That wouldnt suprise me in the slightest but what would it achieve? The numpties that leave the rubbish on there in the first place would just leave it before the gates!

i second that,down our way we have a bloke who walks up and down,but our problem is the foreigners,even dirty nappies,as you can imagine,i dont fish the piers till winter.

foreigners my behind ....its normally idiot chavs ....but if u see a foreigner doing summit wrong tell them ...they have an ability to listen .....
 
its the same part time tinsel tossers who cause this , leaving rubbish, food wrappers, cans , and mackerel heads layed all over.

down the south gare its a disgrace the rubbish there some days is unreal, me and my brother usually have a little fire burn it all.

wish these people would just take a carrier bag with them and on the way home put it in a bin.

was a few foreign people fishin the gare sunday they managed to bin there rubbish why carnt the chavs and the summer tinsel tossers.

one guy on sunday was plasterd after drinking heavly all day then started abusing every 1, its people like these give us anglers a bad name !
 
shields pier is full of the makrel bashers and they bash the coleys all over the place while they are there even little tiny coleys. the rubbish wasnt as bad this time i went down but there was alot of young kids keepin all the tiny coleys they caught well undersize between 10-20cm, then there about 3 chinease people they have been there everyday for about 3 month lol they keep anything they catch includin the tiny coleys and they have a lobster pot down the stairs but these keep the pier tiny its just the undersize fish that gets on my nerves.

we where on the huegh yesterday only had two fish plenty of colies on the float tho had about 12 of the little blighters good bit of fun on really light gear but there was a group of foreigners on there too they came on started casting over everyone and within an houirt started with there drink once they had finished there bottles off the peir they where threw why not put them in a bag and use a bin there is enough sh!t in our waters without them throwing there own in

I look at it like this....it is one thing thinking to yourself what the foreigners and the kids and any other that does not know any different are doing wrong and then coming onto a forum twisting about what they are doing, and it is another thing telling the buggers where they are going wrong and taking no **** off them at the same time, get them told full stop! if you see it happening speak up man, explain what too bloody small means! explain that this is there crap that is blowing about and get it picked up! Honestly one bloke shouts up or speaks out at the offenders and the rest of the pier instantly agree with what you are saying and will back you up (if you need it) I threw a coalie back on monday morning belonging to shall we say slightly different coloured anglers to most of us and all i got was ok ok, no problem, last week a poor blokes dog went hungry because everything he caught "had" to go back after i threw a fish on the measure that he had caught and explained the regulations, explain the size limits and the fact that while you are there they arent going to keep small fish. Simple.
 
not that easy mate,

i have spoke up in the past and have been told to f*** off and mind my own business,nobody backed me up, I know quiet a few lads who get on roker pier who would back me up but this day nobody was there.

Agree mate, the gangs of young lads either pi$$ed or stoned are in general not the types to hold a decent convo with & are normally too busy trying to fight eachother & would not listen :thumbdown:
