Similar situation earlier this summer with a 6lb Cod on the boat

...hooked in the belly pulled up sideways upside down - felt like a huge doubler

Lol, happened to my dad last year, hooked into a cod, thought he had a fish of lifetime, going crackers on the shore, telling me to get in the surf so he didnt lose it... Top hook caught in side of it, making it come in side ways... Should of seen his face when i pulled the 2lber out of the water
