Well took the wife my son and his mate. Set up with the better spinning rod and put a toby on half a dozen casts and nowt. Macky being caught around me. Put a tiny spinner on the £7 abu trout spinning rod. Hoyed it out all of 50 feet. Spinner hit bottom and give it to me sons mate. He reeled it in and bang first ever fish caught by the 9 year old.
Did the same thing with my son and bang he hit one. Fish didn,t seem keen on the tobys.
Caught3 and one dropped off then rain came so we left.
It was a good hour though.
Mick.

Well done. Nice report was there many Macky being caught or just occassional shoals passing?

Most were off the end, just where the clouded water from the river and bay met the clear water out at sea.
I wished i could have stayed and had some more fun but unfortunatly did,nt have any waterproofs.Still the lads enjoyed it.

If you park your car next to the yacht club it will be fine. You can park it with the back facing the wall away from the sea front.

It will be fine, its just if any divvy kids about, but it seems quiet at the yacht club. This is only a short walk to the rat pier. Bit longer to roker but car will be safe.

Says Mick whos now been at least five times..

Mick.
