roker pier tonight different species

4 of us out tonight codfather145, mad rob, dad and myself
got there 6.15 till 1.00 good night
1st cast rob got a nice pouting, then it was a whiting fest
only seen 1 small codling pulled in
we had a small £2 per man bet for the longest fish
we had about 30 whiting , 1 pouting , 2 dabs and a nice sized lobster and my dad won the sweep stake with a 15 1/2 inch whiting
i had my first dab too
great session with all the lights and fireworks on the pier it was like bonfire night
great company and a nice lobster supper washed down with a cold can of fosters

i always put them back maybe next time i wont how would one cook a lobster

Kill it by putting a sharp knife through its head between the eyes, then boil it until it turns red. Alternatively take the claws off, half it lengthways, add a few knobs of butter with your favoured seasoning and grill shell side down for a few minutes.
