does anybody know if the contractors are ahead of schedule? there has been no summer storms ....and any idea of reopening date :question:

They were late starting so I would expect a late finish.
Not sure though, they may surprise me.
Phone the council and ask.

Theyre not even at the barrier yet, sunderland council are involved, they started late and the winter is almost here

Putting all this together id say we might get the back end of next years macjie season

No chance had a look when on yak today no barriers been done yet but the surfacing is down to second steps. So unless they get fingers out I say late Dec Jan opening.
