Roker pier

Dave and I fished above on Tuesday . Sea was a bit harsh but had a canny day. First cast a crab then a baby coalie followed by a see through dab then its mother. A decent coalie to finish. We got caught by a canny roller that runs down the pier both soaked to the knees. Had a good bit crack watching 4 Chinese guys with £12 worth of gear between them . Casting 20yds with a load of coloured things on and keeping a 5" coalie and took it home with them.

I was on the pier Tuesday too only got one undersized whiting and a smashed tripod of them waves that were rolling over the pier but it still beat sitting in the house with the missus!!!

pier was shut about 20 mins ago but a lovely sea running

pier is open now, but the whole river is being dredged thought they gone after that then they came back again, so left

I wouldn't have thought that the pier would be open today,
Though I've seen it open in some big seas, the guy in charge must of been on the drink last night .
