Fished the above today with my uncle first time we been out fishing since winter, Pier was absolutley packed started off half way up using floats didnt get bite then switched to single spinner ended up with 4 nice mackerel between us ready for tea. There was bag of around ten mackerel just dumped on the floor next to the car park bottom of pier some people are ********s.

Was thinking of taking my boy there after work but if its that busy might see if i can find somewhere else less packed to try for mackerel !!!!

Hi m8 and thats what maddens me people catching the mackerel and just dumping them as to me that is pure waste and thats where we need scrutineers watching for things like that happening and if they did/nt want them they should release them back because quite a few fish just for the fun of it and slaughter fish for no reason its a disgrace.:mad::mad::mad:

how olds the boy mate, you'll get them of frenchies but not really that safe if he's very young

Hi Phil hes 8 and mad keen on catching his first fish problem is i am busy at work and only can get out odd nights, took him last night to roker but tide was well out and we blanked,I have fished frenchies in the winter, i will take him there if the mackerel are getting caught there at least he will be away from the crowds..
