Been reported that new railing that were recently fitted on roker pier have washed away again due to bad weather.hope its not true as it took council a year to get sorted last time n that will be pier closed yet again.if true dont have much hope for the coming summer.fingers x its not to bad

thats looks to be a fair amount of damage again tony
around the same area as before its just a domino effect again one lifts pull the rest over.

Saw on Facebook earlier that part of the other pier (i think) has collapsed as well as the damage pictured.

the rat house has also collapsed, seems like its not only the football team thats going down

Definitly looks the same area thats just been repaired.as already stated it be closed for a while.the ratty was due to go at anytime.only needed a good sea to set it away.pleased it was fenced off n no one fishing it

we need to look at the bigger picture! both piers require repair. outer one is obvious, but the inner one? without it, all the energy of the waves will travel upstream. this will cause damage over the short and long term as upstream structures were designed with both the outer and inner piers as baffles. i'm sures engineers know this, lets hope the council listen.

the rat house pier has been falling apart for years and nothing has ever been done in the way of any repairs to keep the structure sound.
only thing they did was to fence it off from the public, it had to fall apart sooner or later.
been told the south pier has also been damaged

The Rat House has now been breached at the gate area, one has fallen into the hole made, sea is now undermining the pier itself, access has gone completely, sun fm are reporting as North Pier, but film on media is showing rat house, not sure if North Pier itself has been collapsing, as they state, think they refer to rat house..
