Roker Prom last Friday night, fishing the flood from 8 till 11.

5 flatties all after dark, on runnydown t/w mack and sandeel segment t/w mack. Best fish 26cm and 22cm, rest teaplates and beer mats.

Anyone tried liver as bait, spoke to a bloke the other night who swore by it for whities?

welldone mate, havent managed to get out meself ova weekend plenty rag in fridge waitin aswell never used liver tho mate, sure someone will give u sum info on that tho

Pigs liver seemed to get used for a while ,I know my father in law did canny with it .

I used pigs liver a couple of years ago down at the Hall Beach and did catch whities with it although I only used it a couple of times - I had spoken to a guy on the Hall Beach one night and he was catching more than we were and he was using liver so I thought I would take some along and give it a shot. A very cheap bait to try if nothing else is catching!

Some lads last winter on the pilot pier at Hartlepool used liver when I was there and caught whities when nobody else was catching.
Might be worth a go.

If it's quiet try tipping off with onion and ground baiting chopped hot dogs
